Charlotte Van Uden



Charlotte is the main coach of Black Ice, the Snow Angels and Momentum, she also oversees the day to day running of all seven of our synchro teams.


Charlotte has been the main coach of Black Ice for three years. She coached them to their first gold medal in the mixed age category at the New Zealand National Championships in 2017 and secured their title again in 2018 and 2019. She has also taken the team to Australian Nationals; in 2018 they placed 6th out of 11 teams, and in 2019 they secured 1st place out of 9 teams.  

Charlotte began ice skating when she was 6 years old and was a successful synchro and solo skater competing at competitions across New Zealand and Australia. Charlotte was awarded the NZIFSA Sports person of the year in 2015 for all her efforts within the skating community.


Charlotte completed her Level 1 accreditation with the NZIFSA in 2016 and has been coaching synchro and free skating since. In 2019 she also graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management.
